Mishal, Executive Director - Initiative for Peace and Development
Ms. Mishal is a seasoned humanitarian professional and since 2005, has been working for International Non-Governmental Organizations and has extensive experience and knowledge of non-profit development sector. Her professional experience span over 10 years and has expertise in financial and grants management. During her service, she has managed awards from various donors like USAID, OFDA, BPRM, DFID, CIDA, IKEA, UNHCR, UNICEF, ECHO and AUSAID. She is well versed with the policies and procedures of the donor agencies which motivates her to start its own initiative that would become Initiative for Peace and Development.
She is a Chairperson and Trustee of Initiative for Peace and Development and will be governing overall operations of the organization. She has a master degree in Economics and has attended number of national and international trainings and workshops which gave her immense in depth knowledge of humanitarian sector.
Fatima Jaffery, Director Fundraising and Partnerships - Initiative for Peace and Development
Ms. Fatima Jaffery has diversified experience of over 10 years and has been worked for corporate and non-corporate sectors in Pakistan and United Kingdom. She possesses extensive experience and knowledge of both non-profit and for-profit development sectors and before joining Initiative for Peace and Development, she was part of one of the largest program of $132 million funded by USAID and had independently managed a portfolio of $22.8 million allocated for Karachi. She has managed more than 100 local implementing partners including their pre-award assessment and post award administration. She was mainly responsible for the financial oversight and capacity building of the local Non-governmental Organizations based in Sindh.
She is a Director of Fundraising and Partnerships at Initiative for Peace and Development and is focusing on partnerships with donor agencies interested to work for peace and development of those suffering from fear and negligence. She’s heading Grants, Program Development, Media and Communication departments and will be managing overall portfolio of the organization. She is certified chartered accountant from UK and has a master degree in business administration with specialization in "management" and is also a Gold Medalist. She is an active blogger and have had voluntarily completed number of charity projects in and outside Pakistan.
